Our History
By the mid-1980’s, after completing an Honours Degree at Flinders University, I was working as a geophysicist with Delhi Petroleum in Outback SA, NT, QLD and NSW, in an exploration area approximately the size of Victoria. Using Toyota Hilux’s and Landcruiser HJ47, HJ60 & HJ75 Series. All diesel.
When Crocodile Dundee came out, I was looking at escorting American tourists around the outback, but started my own 4WD accessory and repair business soon after, 1987.
What's Next
Along the way I started a local 4WD Club, The 4WD Adventurers Club of South Australia, in 1990, from participants of a 4WD course I was teaching on behalf of the WEA (Workers Education Scheme).
I also ran a range of Driver Training Courses and Tag-A-Long Trips to the Flinders Ranges, Strzelecki Desert, High Country and the beaches along SA’s coast for the business at the time.
Recently I took on the ARB range of quality 4x4 products as a Stockist Store, to partner with the good reputation of the workshop business.

I have no interest in selling anything that doesn’t Perform, Fit or Look like it should. I personally guarantee every part we sell.

How we got here
By way of introduction, my interest in things 4WD grew from my family’s participation in Toyota Landcruiser Club (TLC) trips, a family friend started the South Australian chapter of the TLC, way back in the early 1970’s. The world was a different place then.
By the end of the 1970’s I was working in a helicopter crew, as a field-hand in diamond exploration, for Stockdale Prospecting/DeBeers, based in the NT and outback SA, using International 4x4 trucks, LandRover Series3 utes, the first of the Toyota diesel utes. I had a new HJ45 as a company car!
What it's all about
In 1989, I worked a few months on contract for Santos, just a few months, based in Kununurra, in an old FJ45. Exploring for onshore gas.
In recent years, I have worked as a contractor for other oil companies, working with Traditional Land Owners, driving areas yet to be explored. Pure off-roading, Laptop with satellite images and GPS. 10 hours a day traversing virgin country. Using Toyota diesel HDJ100, VDJ76 & VDJ200 Series.
The 4WD business I started in 1987 evolved over the proceeding 30+ years into one with 15 staff across a range of sales, admin, manufacturing, and workshop activities, with Local, National and International Sales.
